Delivery Guide

We offer a nationwide fast & professional courier delivery service covering England, Wales & Scotland. Most orders placed before 3pm are delivered the next working day! We can assist customers in Ireland, Northern Ireland, Europe & World Wide via our freight forwarding agents.

ZONE 1 - MAINLAND ENGLAND, WALES & MOST SCOTTISH LOWLANDS

FREE on spends of £200 ex VAT

else £10 + VAT (£12 inc VAT)

You get FREE DELIVERY on orders over £200 ex VAT (£240 inc VAT), otherwise a £10 + VAT (£12 inc VAT) delivery fee applies per order. Delivery is Mon-Fri by courier on a non guaranteed Next Working Day Service on orders placed before 3pm. Orders placed between 3-4pm could still be received next day if we can process them in time. Orders after 4pm will usually be dispatched the following day. 95% of orders do arrive next working day but please allow 1-2 working days to be safe. This zone excludes postcodes beginning AB, IV, KW, PA21-80, PS38-40, PH17-26, PH30-41 & PH49-50.

ZONE 2 - SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS & SOME LOWLANDS

Sadly, courier companies often charge us more to deliver to the Scottish Highlands and some parts of the Scottish Lowlands. For postcodes beginning AB, IV1-40, IV52-54, IV63, KW1-14, PA21-80, PS38-40, PH17-26, PH30-41 and PH49-50 an additional delivery charge of at least £20 + VAT (£24 inc VAT) is normally charged by our couriers on top of our standard Zone 1 delivery fee. Delivery is Mon-Fri by courier typically on 1-3 Working Day Service. Occasionally the charges are more than £20 for very remote areas, or for very heavy products, in which case we will call you after your order to discuss the best way forwards. If in any doubt please contact our team before ordering to get accurate costings.

ZONE 3 - IRELAND & NORTHERN IRELAND

Following BREXIT we have stopped our own direct deliveries to Ireland and Northern Ireland due the additional charges and paperwork requirements now enforced. Therefore, you will now need to have your own onward freight agent who can handle the movement from our warehouse(s). We can also put you in contact with our preferred external frieght forwarder if you do not currently have an agent in place.

ZONE 4 - UK ISLES

Sadly, couriers charge us extra to deliver to most UK Isle's, such as the Isle of Wight, Scottish Isles, and all other isles off of the UK. Delivery can often be arranged but please contact us before ordering to check and to be quoted for any additional delivery costs. Delivery fees can often be expensive, as crossing any water can often cost an extra £10-£100 depending on size and weight. 

ZONE 5 - THE REST OF THE WORLD

We do not ship internationally ourselves but instead put you in contact with our preferred UK based international freight agent who can quote for onward shipping and answer any international shipping related questions you may have. Our team will assist you by providing you with the weights, dimensions & commodity codes for your goods. If you already have your own preferred freight agent we can talk with you about how we can accommodate their requirements. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT COURIERS DO YOU USE?

Couriers can vary depending on the part of the country we are delivering to. We often use the main national courier companies like DX Freight, Tuffnells & Pallet Line depending on the weight and size of your order. Please feel free to contact us if you require more information.

CAN I HAVE A TRACKING REFERENCE FOR MY ORDER?

At the moment we don't have tracking codes for our standard deliveries. We hope to get these in the near future as we appreciate they are useful, but at present we cannot provide a tracking code for your order.

WHAT IF I'M NOT IN WHEN THEY TRY TO DELIVER?

Normally our orders require a signature upon receipt of delivery (unless you have specified when ordering that the goods can be left securely somewhere), so the couriers will leave a card notifying you that they attempted delivery and to make contact with them. Often the couriers will try to re-attempt delivery the next working day for you too. If unsure please contact us and we can speak with the couriers on your behalf.  If the goods can be left securely without a signature please tell us when ordering and we will pass this on to the couriers. Most couriers will obliged this request but goods are left at the customers own risk.

WILL THEY HAVE MY PHONE NUMBER AND SPECIAL DIRECTIONS?

We request a telephone number from you to pass on to the courier so they can contact you if the delivery address proves difficult to locate. If you think the couriers will need a helping hand please tell us when you order of any directions that will help them find you and we will pass those on too.

WHAT IF THERE ARE DELIVERY DELAYS?

In the unlikely event that the couriers are unable to meet their standard delivery times we will contact you within 24 hours to notify you of any delays. We will then work with you and the couriers to ensure your goods get delivered.We request a telephone number from you to pass on to the courier so they can contact you if the delivery address proves difficult to locate. If you think the couriers will need a helping hand please tell us when you order of any directions that will help them find you and we will pass those on too.

MY DELIVERY HASN'T ARRIVED WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If you haven't received your order when expected please make contact with us straight away so that we can investigate any issues that have occurred. Sometimes couriers can report difficulty finding some address and may need extra information. Occasionally orders get delayed through acts of god, such as flooding, or road closures. Please do get in touch and we will find out exactly where your order is and advise on a delivery date.

CAN I COLLECT MY ORDER?

Our warehousing & fulfillment centres are closed to the general public for health & safety and operational reasons. To keep our centres running smoothly we prefer to deliver your goods using our couriers, but if you need to send in your own courier to collect we can usually accommodate that provided we know the date of collection and the company collecting. Please speak with us before placing your order. Any couriers attending our sites must have valid public liability insurance in place.

WHAT IF I NEED TO RETURN MY GOODS?

Big Tyres operate a 30 day returns policy. To avoid any undue charges please ensure you order the correct items as return postage costs can be expensive for heavy or large items. For more information on our returns process please visit our returns page for more information.
