Who are Continental?
Continental was founded in Hanover on 8th October 1871. The company started life making buffers for horseshoes and solid tyres for carriages. Consequently, in 1882, the iconic stallion horse was adopted as the company's trademark! Today, with sales exceeding 35 billion, the Continental Corporation is one of the top automotive suppliers worldwide. The group now produces truck, bus, coach & construction tyres under the Continental, Uniroyal, Semperit & Barum brand names.
You may find some Continental Tractor tyre patterns (ie AC70 etc) are now badged with the Mitas brand name instead and so will now be listed on our Mitas Brand Page! This is due to Mitas previously manufacturing Continental Agri tyres under license, but that agreement has ceased and so Mitas now produce the same tyres with their own branding stamped on the tyre sidewall.

Big Tyres offer UK Wide Delivery using a quick and reliable courier delivery service. Most orders placed with us before 3pm Mon-Fri will be dispatched the same day on a non guaranteed Next Working Day delivery service. Roughly 95% of our orders do arrive the Next Working Day, but we always recommend allowing 1-2 days for delivery. Our standard delivery to non-remote UK address' is FREE if you spend over £240 inclusive of VAT, otherwise a £10 + VAT delivery fee applies. Simply Enter your Postcode at the Checkout to check your exact delivery fee. For some postcodes in Scotland the shipping fee can be higher and delivery can be 2-3 days. For delivery to Ireland, UK offshore isles, or to discuss getting goods abroad please contact us to discuss your options. Mobile Fitting
Depending on your vehicle type, Big Tyres can help to arrange and book mobile tyre fitters to attend your site and fit your goods. All fitters used are experienced and fully insured to ensure you get a quality service that you can trust. The fee's involved include a Callout Charge to cover travel time to your site, and then a Per Tyre Fitting Fee for each tyre fitted. An optional Per Tyre Disposal Fee can sometimes be offered if you would also like the fitters to remove your old tyres from site. Fitters for general plant and agricultural machinery can usually be on site within 1-2 Workings Days of placing your order. For forklift truck fitting its usually 2-4 working days from date or ordering, and for Earthmover tyres its usually 2-5 working days from date of order. Returns Policy
If you are not happy with your purchase then Big Tyres will accept the return of goods up to 30 days after the date of delivery. To qualify for a refund all goods must still be in their original saleable condition (not used, not fitted, not damaged). Please note that custom made-to-order wheel rims and non-stock items ordered in at your request are non-returnable but will still be covered by any associated manufacturer warranties. Most goods will come with a Manufacturer's Warranty, and the Big Tyres team are available to help with warranty claims if you suspect that your goods are defective.
